Teenagers usually go out to watch a film, attend a party or watch a concert or other event. Usually young people in the UK go on dates with people they know for fun. Going on a date doesn¡Çt mean the couple will get married. Teenagers usually chose their own dates however sometimes they meet someone they haven¡Çt met before, this is called a ¡Èblind date¡É. Sometimes two couples go on a date as a group and this is called a ¡Èdouble date¡É. When a couple go out on a date sometimes they share the cost or ¡Ègo Dutch¡É. However sometimes the boy will pay.

In the year 2002 the World Cup finals will be held jointly in Japan and Korea. The 2002 World Cup is a first in many ways. This is the first time that the worlds major football tournament will be hosted in Asia, it¡Çs also the first occasion in which the World Cup finals have been held in two countries at the same time. Korea and Japan have shared the responsibility for running the tournament and games will be held in various cities in Japan and Korea. The opening game and ceremonies will be held in Seoul and final will be hosted in Tokyo. Over one billion people are expected to watch the games on TV and many thousands of supporters from all over the world are expected to attend. The organizers hope that the competition will boost football in Asia and promote good relations between Japan and Korea. Many people worry however that there could be problems. Some point out that football hooligans may cause serious problems. Others note that relations between Japan and Korea are under strain and that holding the World Cup will do nothing to resolve the many political problems between the two countries. The high cost of tickets is also a cause for concern. However despite these potential problems most commentators feel that the 2002 World Cup will be a success. Football fans from all over the world are eagerly looking forward to the biggest sporting event in the world.
